Oslo – 2017

Lastig bepalen wat een goed appartement is als je er nog nooit geweest bent: complex en appartement in Oslo waren prachtig. De wijken waar we doorheen moesten wandelen om bij het centrum te komen duidelijk iets minder…

Nors Folkemuseum

Man man man die staafkerk, wat prachtig. Mooi voor de kids omdat Frozen op dit stijltje is gebaseerd, maar die waren snel uitgekeken. In tegenstelling tot mijzelf. De kerk stamt uit 1216 en is in 1881 verhuisd van Gol naar het openluchtmuseum van koning Oscar. Wat een apart sfeertje. Na wachten tot een rustig moment kon ik nog lichte foto’s namen, maar het is binnen pikdonker. Geweldig, ik zou zo terug willen

Het Vikingschip Museum

Oseberg Ship :This Viking ship was found near Oslo, Norway in 1905. It dates to AD 800 and was teh burial of a Viking noblewoman, probably a Queen, along with an elderly female companion. Other burial finds included three dogs, an ox, an ornately-carved wagon, and thirteen horses, pulling three ornately-carved sleighs, some collapsable bedsteads, an oak chest fastened with iron nails with tinned heads, a wooden bucket with brass fittings probably made in Ireland, and other household goods including tapestries.The ship is preserved today in the viking Museum outside of Oslo. The ship is built entirely of oak, and is 70 ft long and 17 ft broad.The ship is richly-decorated with carvings, especially the posts and caprail.
The steering oar is similar to other Scandinavian ships, with a wooden button at the outer end of a withy, passing through the strake, and lashed to the frame, with a conical block of wood and a strap to hold the loom of the oar at the level of the sheer strake, with a tiller attached to the top of the loom.

Beroemd park met veel beelden. Je moet er van houden. Park als geheel gewoon prachtig !

Colorline Oslo-Kiel

De terugreis is het vermelden waard. We zijn al enkele keren naar Schotland gereisd en dan zit je op een aardige ferry. Maar dit was wel even iets anders: dit was gewoon een mini-cruise. Restaurant van 2 verdiepingen, theater van 3. Omdat we een luxe hut hadden, ‘moesten’ we ook in het sjieke restaurant ontbijten. En tijdens de show hadden we binnen 10 minuten ieder een heerlijke (virgin) cocktail te pakken. Een prachtige relaxte afsluiting van de vakantie met mooie uitzichten. (Let op, van Kiel naar huis was de langste trip van de hele vakantie, dik 500km)
